Karrie Murphy, Pharm.D, BCGP, CDCES is an associate professor at the University of Charleston School of Pharmacy. She earned her Pharm.D. degree from Ferris State University in 2013. After pharmacy school she completed a PGY1 residency at Northeastern University/Harbor Health Services (2013-2014) and an academic geriatric focused fellowship at MCPHS University (2014-2015). She is a Board-Certified Geriatric Pharmacist (BCGP) and a Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES). She is also a Certified Lifestyle Coach for the CDC’s National Diabetes Prevention Program – Prevent T2.  Among her many roles at the University of Charleston, she serves as a pharmacotherapy course coordinator and an ambulatory care pharmacist at West Virginia Health Right.
