The School of Business & Leadership at the University of Charleston focuses on providing students with the knowledge and skills they need to succeed in today's fast-changing business world.
The University of Charleston's School of Business & Leadership has been approved for membership in the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP). "I am pleased our graduate and undergraduate programs in business, leadership, and cyber security have been accepted for ACBSP membership," said Dr. Scott Bellamy, Dean of the School of Business & Leadership. "ACBSP membership is a great fit because both UC and ACBSP focus their efforts on student learning outcomes, continuous improvement, teaching excellence, and scholar/practitioner faculty; this places our school on the path toward candidacy and full accreditation by ACBSP, strengthening our academic programs and providing an external validation of quality, " Bellamy added.
ACBSP is a leading global accreditation body for business, accounting, and business-related programs at the associate, baccalaureate, master, and doctorate degree levels worldwide and is recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). ACBSP promotes continuous improvement and recognizes excellence in the accreditation of business education programs around the world. More information about ACBSP can be found at www.acbsp.org.
The School of Business is distinguished by how it takes advantage of its location in the center of downtown Charleston's business district to engage its students as partners in the learning process with top-level executives from national, regional, and local firms. Students
build extensive business networks that include CEOs, CFOs, and other officers from diverse industries who serve regularly as speakers,
mentors, and experiential placement supervisors.
