I have been a clinically practicing Physician Assistant for over 20 years.  I started my career in the Emergency Department at Charleston Area Medical Center Women and Children’s Hospital, where I worked for almost 5 years.  From there, I was employed for almost 14 years in rural West Virginia in a pediatric practice taking care of mostly underserved children.  Throughout my years in practice, I was a clinical preceptor to various students, consisting of PA, NP, DO, MD, and medical residents.  I came on board as an adjunct clinical professor, teaching pediatrics at the University of Charleston, in 2013.  I became a full-time faculty member at the University of Charleston Physician Assistant Program in 2017.
