Director of Clinical Education/Assistant Professor

Professor Michelle Davis has been a clinically practicing Physician Assistant for over 25 years. She began her career in Psychiatry (1997-1998), spent almost five years at Charleston Area Medical Center Women & Children’s Emergency Department (1998-2003), fourteen years in general pediatrics in rural West Virginia (2003-2017), and five years in general pediatrics in Charleston (2018-2022). She has been an ongoing clinical preceptor to various students, consisting of PA, NP, DO, MD, and medical residents. Professor Davis became an adjunct faculty member at the University of Charleston Physician Assistant Program in 2013 and full-time professor in 2017. She took on the role as Director of Clinical Education position in 2019. She is passionate about serving the community and is a certified foster parent for the state of WV. She is very involved with her church and their outreach team, also involving students to participate in community service events. She lives in Charleston with her husband, daughter, and rescued dogs.
