My interests include spending time with my husband, Ryan, and going on fun trips sightseeing local landmarks and traveling to NFL and MLB games. I also enjoy swimming and I have been an American Red Cross certified lifeguard and water safety instructor for many years.

Jody (Miller) Mashinter joined University of Charleston in the fall of 2014 as an Instructor and Athletic Trainer. She teaches in the Athletic Training Program and works primarily with the men’s soccer team.

Jody received a B.S. in Sports in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Athletic Training from the University of Northern Colorado in 2005. Following Northern Colorado, Jody attended the University of Colorado Colorado Springs where she earned a Masters of Science in Sports Medicine. While at UCCS Jody provided healthcare for the cross country, men’s soccer, and men’s basketball teams.

Prior to arriving at the University of Charleston, Jody held various positions as Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS. In 2007, Jody started as the Assistant Athletic Trainer. In 2009, Jody was promoted to Head Athletic Trainer. Finally, in 2013 Jody moved to more of a faculty role where she served as the Clinical Education Instructor and Associate Head Athletic Trainer. During her tenure at Bethany, Jody had the chance to work with 21 NAIA Athletic Teams, but was primarily responsible for football before she moved on. Multiple seasons were also spent with men’s basketball, men’s soccer, softball, and baseball.
