Eric Dierkes, PharmD, CTTS is an assistant professor of pharmacy practice at the University of Charleston School of Pharmacy. He was born and raised in rural, southeast Ohio. He graduated from Ohio Northern University’s Raabe College of Pharmacy in 2020 with his PharmD degree. He then stayed in Ada, OH to complete his PGY1 pharmacy practice residency with ONU HealthWise, serving the rural, underserved population of Ohio, where his practice interests lie. Dr. Dierkes also currently serves as an ambulatory care clinical pharmacist at Holzer Health System in Gallipolis, OH. His current practice site encompasses the internal medicine, family medicine, and hematology clinics. Dr. Dierkes primarily focuses on the management of chronic disease states in a rural community. He also serves as a clinical preceptor and integrates third year and fourth year pharmacy/medical students as well as pharmacy residents in the clinic.
