Dr. Bergman is an avid endurance athlete who has competed in four world championship long distance triathlon events including the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hawaii. She enjoys ultramarathons and has run up to the 50 mile distance including rim to rim to rim of the Grand Canyon. She is also an avid surfer and enjoys traveling with her husband and four children.
Dr. Bergman is a board certified orthopedic clinical specialist and a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. She received her B.S. in Biology from the University of Wisconsin- Madison and her DPT from the University of St. Augustine in 2007. She has been an active clinician since 2007 practicing in orthopedic, sports and primary care settings in corporate and private practice in northeast Florida and northwest Montana. Her current practice in St. Augustine, Florida integrates sports science knowledge and technology into private practice to improve outcomes for athletes returning to sport for elite and recreational athletes. Dr. Bergman’s research interests are in the diagnosis and treatment of non arthritic hip joint pain, particularly in improving screening processes and nonsurgical outcomes for people living with hip dysplasia and instability. Her secondary research interests are in improving outcomes for people living with chronic musculoskeletal pain.
