Making it Official
Once you know UC is the place for you, the next step is to pay your enrollment deposit. Keep in mind, this is not a fee—more like a down payment on your first semester tuition. You can pay the deposit quickly online with the link below.

Then What?
After your deposit is paid, there is a sequence of activity that will follow. Some are things we do for you, some are things you need to do. Here’s a handy checklist to keep you on track!
Within two (2) business days of paying your enrollment deposit, you will receive an email from UC IT (uccredentials@ucwv.edu) with instructions for logging in to the UC Portal and activating your UC email. This email will be sent to the personal email address you used for your admissions application. If you do not receive this email within 2 days of paying your deposit, first check your spam or junk folder. If it is not there, contact itsupport@ucwv.edu for assistance.
After your UC credentials are created, we’ll be able to register you for your first UC classes. Depending on your academic program and your degree level (undergraduate or graduate), your schedule will be built by your First-Year Student Advisor (FSA) or your Academic Advisor. Monitor your UC email account for information about how to view your schedule and to discuss any change you may need to make with your advisor.
If you will be living on campus, you will need to complete a housing application, and if you are a Charleston undergraduate student not living on campus, you’ll need to complete a housing exemption form. These forms will be available in the myUC portal two (2) business days after you are registered for classes. Visit our housing page to find out about our home-away-from living options. Remember that housing assignments are made on a first-come, first-served basis, so early deposits and registrations are the best way to have the most housing options.
If you are a Charleston undergraduate student beginning in the fall semester, make plans to attend Summer Orientation, Advising and Registration (SOAR). Learn more and register online here.
If you are a new online, Beckley, or graduate student, don’t worry! Our enrollment team will guide you through all of our processes and have you ready to be successful from day one.
Again, congratulations on your acceptance – we can’t wait to hear you’ve chosen UC!
