About 300 new Golden Eagle alumni will be celebrated when the University of Charleston holds its commencement ceremonies on Saturday, April 27, 2024. There will be two separate ceremonies – undergraduates at 10:00 am and graduate students at 1:00 pm.

The students participating in the ceremonies will include 216 undergraduate students and 86 graduate students. They will represent the university’s Charleston, Beckley, and online programs and its five distinct schools: the School of Arts & Sciences, the School of Health Sciences, the School of Pharmacy, the School of Business, and the School of Leadership.

Both ceremonies will take place in the Wehrle Athletic Arena on UC’s campus.

Senator Joe Manchin will be the commencement speaker for the morning ceremony. Dr. John Barnette, UC’s Assistant Vice President for Strategic Initiatives, will speak to the graduate students.

On Friday, April 26, several UC programs will hold additional ceremonies. The Bachelor of Science in Nursing program will hold its pinning ceremony that afternoon. UC Graduate School of Business MBA program, School of Leadership, UC School of Pharmacy, and the UC Physician Assistant Program will hold hooding ceremonies that evening. The Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Science will hold a pinning ceremony that day as well.
