Program Overview

From amateur sports to professional leagues, sports announcing to event planning, our Sport Business degree will prepare you for a wide range of career possibilities. The program consists of core business classes and a diverse selection of sport business classes to focus your career goals within the sports industry. The design of the program also encourages you to complete a second major or a minor in another field, enhancing your marketability in the job field.

Note: Students receive a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a major in Sport Business.

Freshman applicants with a 2.5 or higher high school GPA and transfer students with a 2.0 or higher cumulative college GPA are eligible for general admission to UC, and will gain direct entry into this program. Students may apply online or download the admissions application.

 

Program Highlights

  • Classes provide practicum opportunities, service-learning, and internship experiences that allow students to work and gain experience with a sports business organization.

  • You’ll learn valuable life lessons from professionals in the industry.

  • Small class sizes allow personal attention from faculty with sports industry experience.

  • The program is based on the Commission on Sport Management Accreditation (COSMA) standards.

    You’ll be required to complete a practicum experience in your sophomore year and an internship with a sports organization in your senior year. Internships previously completed with organizations such as:
