SGA Members
The SGA is composed of five Executive Board members, six Upperclassman Senators, three Sophomore Senators, three Freshman Senators, and Super-Council Senators representing their respective graduate programs.
Members of SGA serve one-year terms, and their election and re-election are dependent upon votes from the student body. SGA proudly works with the UC administration, faculty, and staff members to ensure each student has an enjoyable and rewarding experience at the University of Charleston. The Student Government Association strives to be the student body’s voice and welcomes any questions, comments, suggestions, or concerns.
Alfred K. Isch III | President
Alfred K. Isch III is a senior business management major with a minor in political science from North Central West Virginia. He is a graduate of Philip Barbour High School and has been involved in multiple organizations across campus during his time at the University of Charleston. Alfred has a strong passion for leadership and service and is grateful for the opportunity to represent the student body and positively impact campus life through the Student Government Association.
Connor McKown | Vice President of Student Services & Parliamentarian
Connor McKown is a sophomore nursing major from Wirt County, West Virginia, and is expected to graduate in 2028 with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. He is actively involved in several campus organizations, including BCM, Lions Club, and CANS. Connor also serves as a Teaching Assistant for Anatomy and Physiology I and II labs and works as a Student Ambassador. He is proud to support students and help address their needs through his role in the Student Government Association.
Gavin Bias | Vice President of Communications
Gavin Bias is a senior business management major from Madison in Boone County, West Virginia, and plans to graduate in December 2026. He is a Presidential Scholar at the University of Charleston and commutes daily from his hometown while remaining actively involved on campus. Gavin serves on a local committee with the City of Madison and is involved with several community organizations. He is heavily involved in rental property operations and property management. He is honored to be of help wherever he can serve.
Trang “Moon” Bui | Co-Vice President of Finance & SOFA
Trang “Moon” Bui is a senior biology major with a biomedical concentration and a minor in data analytics from Hanoi, Vietnam. She is currently in her second year serving in the Student Government Association. Moon is the Vice President of Chi Beta Phi, the national math and science honor society, and serves as a Curricular Assistant in Ratrie Hall. She is also a Teaching Assistant for Probability and Statistics I and is committed to supporting students through academic leadership and service.
Annaliese Tabler | Co-Vice President of Finance & SOFA
Annaliese Tabler is a junior biology major with a biomedical concentration from Conway, South Carolina. She has served in the Student Government Association for three years and currently holds the role of Co-Vice President of Finance and SOFA. Annaliese is also the Vice President of Theta Kappa Pi, a member of the Lions Club, and part of the Honors College. She is dedicated to supporting students through responsible leadership and campus involvement.
