UC Earns 2026 Gold Military Friendly® Designation

The University of Charleston has again been recognized for its dedication to supporting those who serve.

The university has been named a 2026-2027 Gold-Level Military Friendly® School by Viqtory Media for its efforts to create sustainable, meaningful educational pathways for members of the military community. This marks the seventeenth time UC has earned the Military Friendly distinction.

“At the University of Charleston, we are committed to meeting the unique needs of veterans, military service members, and their families, helping them reach their educational goals,” UC President Marty Roth said. “We are proud to be recognized for the hard work that our faculty and staff put in to support our military students.”

UC currently serves about 1,000 active-duty service members and veterans from 42 states and several countries, many of whom continue their education while deployed.
