UC ranked in US News & World Report

US News & World Report has listed the University of Charleston in its 2022-2023 ranking of “Best National Universities” as part of its Best College rankings, published each year.

UC was also named as a “Top Performer on Social Mobility,” a ranking that determines the success of a college at “advancing social mobility by enrolling and graduating large proportions of disadvantaged students awarded with Pell Grants.”

The Best College rankings is now in its 38th year. This latest edition assessed 1,500 U.S. bachelor’s degree-granting institutions on 17 measures of academic quality. The “Best National Universities category” includes those that offer a full range of undergraduate majors, plus master’s and doctoral programs, and emphasize faculty research or award professional practice doctorates.
