Charleston, WV – June 29, 2021 – UC Vice President and Director of Athletics Dr. Bren Stevens has been named the Division 2 Athletics Directors Association (D2 ADA) President for the 2021-2022 membership year.

“I am humbled by the opportunity to serve as President for the D2 ADA, as our Board members are some of the best leaders across all three NCAA divisions,” said Stevens. “As the landscape in college athletics continues to change, it will be vital for our membership to navigate challenges and opportunities to ensure that our student-athletes have incredible experiences while on our respective campuses. I am excited to work with individuals that possess growth mindsets, integrity, and passion for their roles as athletics administrators.”

In an email to the UC community, Stevens said “It will be a busy year for sure. . .but, it has to be easier than playing 18 sports in one semester while following COVID-19 protocols!”

Stevens is the third female in the history of the association to hold this position.
