UC Admissions Earns Engagement Excellence Award from PlatformQ
Charleston, WV – May 17, 2021 – When the coronavirus interrupted the ‘business as usual’ options for the UC Admissions Office, it had to look for new ways to keep prospective students engaged.
“We started partnering with PlatformQ a year ago as covid upended all plans for face-to-face events on campus,” stated Dr. Beth Wolfe, UC Executive Vice President of Enrollment Management. “Their software allows us to present live webcasts to students on any topic and we have hosted (probably close to) 30 events in the past year for prospective and admitted students on everything from our degree programs to financial aid to a walk-through of our online application form.”
The office was recently contacted by Jonathan Zackman, the Director of Engagement Strategy of PlatformQ via email, who wrote: I’m ecstatic to present your team with our Engagement Excellence Award. The sessions you have run this week have engaged a variety of audiences with dynamic, concise, and clear content.
One of my favorite parts of your sessions this week was this comment we saw from a post-event survey: “After having attended the presentation I can now calm my nerves. That was great.” This is a true testament to the work you’re doing and will continue to do in order to help students on their journey.
