WV Governor Jim Justice Appoints Dr. Beth Wolfe to WV Women’s Commission

Charleston, WV – April 22, 2021 – Dr. Beth Wolfe, UC Executive Vice President of Enrollment Management, has been appointed to the West Virginia Women’s Commission by WV Governor Jim Justice.

The WV Women’s Commission is charged with improving the quality of life for West Virginia women – to provide information to help them better their lives and to develop the skills to become advocates for themselves. It focuses on projects that impact West Virginia women and girls in the broad categories of leadership, legislation, recognition, research, and education, and sponsors annual events that promote advocacy, encourage involvement in the legislative process, and provides information on education opportunities for women.

“I am honored to have been appointed to the West Virginia Women’s Commission, as I believe that as the Commission meets its mission to elevate the power and potential of West Virginia women and girls, the entire state will reap the benefits,” said Wolfe. “Throughout my career I have worked to empower young women to dream big and grow into their full potential. I look forward to bringing the same level of encouragement and empowerment to my work with the WVWC.”

The Women’s Commission is one of seven boards under the West Virginia Department of Health & Human Resources. Find out more at https://www.wvdhhr.org/wvwc/.
