Regional Education Coordinator

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the supervision of the Associate Dean, this position provides leadership necessary for development and operation of regional leadership programs.  The position carries a faculty appointment and teaching load. The position’s workload requires 40% teaching and other instructional related activities, and 60% administrative activities.  Responsible for organizational relationship building and recruiting from assigned area.

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Facilitates 6 credit hours of graduate or undergraduate Leadership courses per semester and collaborates on instructional activities related to course design and assessment activities.
  • Represents the University and performs administrative and educational efforts in a geographic region.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with strategic partners appropriate for the region.
  • Identifies opportunities for program growth and enhancement for the region.
  • Coordinate communications with School of Business and Leadership administration.
  • Conduct or coordinate recruitment events and provide customer service and information about the university to prospective military students and other constituencies.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Terminal degree preferred, Master’s degree in a leadership-related field required.
  • Minimum of 3 years leadership and supervisory experience.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills, detail-oriented, and the ability to multi-task is a must.
  • Preference is given to veterans or retired military servicemembers.
  • Applicant must be dependable, demonstrate good work ethic, and be able to adapt to a developing environment, have a customer, public-service, and strategic orientation and be willing to work cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Applicant must have the ability to set priorities, take initiative and work with minimal direction, and exhibit the ability to maintain high professional standards.
  • Applicant must be able to adhere to student confidentiality policies and procedures.
  • Travel and evening and weekend work is required.
