The Executive Vice President for Enrollment Management (EVPEM) oversees all aspects of the admissions and financial aid operations and is responsible for providing leadership and coordination for a comprehensive enrollment management strategy that is consistent with the goals, mission, and resources of University of Charleston. The EVPEM is responsible for planning, implementing, monitoring and evaluating the specific programs, services and functions designed to meet institutional objectives related to enrollment management to optimize yield and net tuition revenue.

The EVPEM is responsible for developing and executing a multi-year and annual comprehensive enrollment plan with appropriate goals that include strategies to recruit, enroll and retain traditional and non-traditional undergraduate, transfer, and graduate students. The EVPEM is also responsible for developing annual admissions and financial aid forecasts and budgets; building, leading and motivating the admissions team to ensure that enrollment goals are met; implementing best practices; developing and implementing an integrated enrollment marketing plan in partnership with the director of marketing & communications; and collaborating with faculty, alumni and others to achieve enrollment goals.

The EVPEM collects, analyzes, and presents data needed for policy implementation, decision making, and project/program development implementation; prepares comprehensive reports, proposals, and presentations; and ensures planning for key committees and board meetings. The EVPEM serves as a key member of the Integrated Marketing Team and is expected to contribute to the University-wide marketing plan.

The executive vice president reports to the President and serves on the President’s Cabinet. Current direct reports to the EVPEM include the associate director/assistant to the EVPEM, director of recruitment & admissions systems operations, director of financial aid, and the Beckley Campus & online admissions representative.
