UC Offers Nursing Boot Camp
Camp Runs June 7, 8, 9 for Kanawha County High School Students
For high school students considering a career as a nurse, the University of Charleston will offer a Nursing Boot Camp to enable students to learn what nursing – and nursing school – are all about.
The camp will be held June 7th, 8th, and 9th at the University of Charleston campus. Participants will stay on campus for three days and two nights, giving them a feel for both college life and dorm living.
Campers will participate in hands on activities with one-on-one instruction from UC nursing faculty. They will receive information on applying to college, and have the opportunity to visit UC simulation labs and see the manikins (lifelike models used for medical simulation and skill practice) as well as participating in an interactive anatomy and physiology experience featuring 3-D technology.
Space in the camp is limited, and interested students need to register by May 9, 2022. (Camp is open to Kanawha County high school students who will be juniors and seniors in 2022.)
Registration form for the camp can be found at: http://www.ucwv.edu/bootcamp
