Residence Life Staff

Each residence hall is staffed with professional staff and students to facilitate the development and maintenance of a quality living environment.

Resident Assistants (RAs)
Each section in the residence hall has a RA. RAs are talented and motivated student leaders who are selected to assist students with various problems and concerns. As peer educators, RAs serve a vital role in the development of community.

Resident Director (RD)
The RD is a live-in professional staff person who is responsible for the total operation of the residence hall. Each RD serves as an advisor to hall council, promotes educational and social programming, serves as a personal and University resource to the students, and supervises the student staff members.

Director of Residence Life
The Director is an University administrator responsible for the leadership and overall operation of Residence Life.

Dorm Wars

The first Dorm Wars competition was held March 31-April 1, 2006. Residence Halls developed teams to participate in Dorm Wars, which encourages team building and a sense of community among the residents. Teams were rewarded for sportsmanship and encouraged to have fun while competing with fellow classmates for the Dorm Wars Trophy. Dorm Wars 2006 was such a success that it has become an annual event and the 2007 version is scheduled for the spring semester. Dorm Wars events include:
