CHARLESTON, W.Va. -- The University of Charleston is developing a master's degree program for students who want to be physician's assistants.
The program will be the third of its kind in the state. Only Alderson-Broaddus College and Mountain State University currently offer it.
The nationwide demand for physician assistants justifies the new master's program, said David Payne, who is directing the effort at UC.
