Charleston, WV – For the third year in a row, 100 percent of
University of Charleston Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) graduates passed the NCLEX-RN licensure examination on their first attempt.
“We are extremely proud of this year’s nursing graduates, our outstanding faculty, and the program as a whole,” said UC President Edwin Welch. “The vast majority of our nursing graduates stay in West Virginia, so this is a significant contribution to the quality of health care in the region. These results reflect the success of UC’s ‘
Learning Your Way’ curriculum, which requires students to demonstrate throughout the program that they have the knowledge and skills they need to be effective in the real world.”
The University of Charleston is a private, independent college with approximately 1,400 students from 31 states and 26 countries.
U.S. News & World Report consistently ranks it among the top regional colleges in the South, and it is one of
The Princeton Review’s Best 371 Colleges 2012 Edition. In addition to nursing, the University of Charleston offers 23 other
undergraduate majors,
master’s programs in business and
physician assistant studies, and a
doctorate in pharmacy.
