CHARLESTON, W.Va. - The pursuit of knowledge has taken Nionila Ivanova and Vasili Valiuk a long way from home.
Ivanova, 23, and Valiuk, 24, are both embarking on their first year in the Master of Business Administration program at the University of Charleston.

"It has been very surprising to see people being so helpful to each other and always smiling; you don't get that in Belarus," Ivanova said.
This is Valiuk's first time in the United States, and Ivanova has not visited since 2007.
