CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The University of Charleston-Beckley will host a visit day for prospective students on Saturday, April 20, from 9:30 a.m. – 1 p.m.
High school students and their families can tour campus, meet with faculty and athletic coaches, as well as learn about financial aid and scholarship opportunities. They can also find out more about UC-Beckley’s special residence hall room rate of $1,800 for the 2013-14 academic school year, or half the cost of this year.

The 2012-13 academic year marks UC’s 125th anniversary as an academic institution. UC was founded in 1888 as Barboursville Seminary, renamed Morris Harvey College in 1901, moved to Charleston in 1935 and was renamed the University of Charleston in 1978.
