CHARLESTON, W.Va. – The University of Charleston Enactus (formerly known as SIFE) team will be collecting canned goods for the Union Mission from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. this Saturday and Sunday at the Ashton Place and Riverwalk Plaza Kroger locations. The canned food drive is held in conjunction with the Campbell's Soup "Let's Can Hunger" national campaign.
February is generally a low collection time for the Union Mission, so UC Enactus members have offered to volunteer their time to keep the local food pantry stocked. This is the third year UC students have partnered with the Union Missions, collecting over 14,000 pounds of food for needy families in the area to date.
Enactus is an international non-profit organization working to bring together business leaders of today and tomorrow by encouraging students to make a difference in their communities while developing leadership skills.
