UC Speaker Series Presents Larry Sabato's Political Crystal Ball

Release Date:  Friday, September 28, 2012

Charleston, W.Va.  - Dr. Larry Sabato, political pundit, director of the University of Virginia Center for Politics, and creator of Sabato’s Crystal Ball website, will be UC’s featured speaker at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9.  The Wall Street Journal refers to Sabato as "probably the most quoted college professor in the land," and his accuracy has been hailed by news organizations as disparate as FOX News, MSNBC, and CNBC. He accurately predicted 98% of Senate, House, and governors’ race winners in, 2006, 2008, and 2010---by far the best showing in the business.

Sabato’s Crystal Ball website, http://www.centerforpolitics.org/crystalball/, keeps close tabs on which way swing states are leaning in the presidential and other nationally significant elections.

The University of Charleston Speaker Series is sponsored by the Dow Chemical Foundation. The event is free and open to the public, and questions for the speaker may be submitted in advance at www.ucwv.edu/SpeakerSeries/LarrySabato/Question
