Release Date:  Wednesday, September 14, 2011

The University of Charleston School of Pharmacy student chapter of American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) was featured in the September issue of AAPS Newsmagazine.  The research oriented organization strives to keep “students up-to-date with current pharmaceutical research trends and encourages them to pursue careers in the field.”  Student pharmacist Ephantus Gaitho said “AAPS UCSOP informs students about other opportunities and internships available for student pharmacists (thus) making them better rounded as pharmaceutical care providers.”  In addition to brown bag lunches, which feature speakers from various sectors of pharmaceutical sciences, the chapter has contributed to on campus health education activities.
