* Class in which students complete their writing portfolios and COMM requirements.  At the end of the first semester class, students who successfully complete the writing requirement in the course will receive 3 credits for COMM 101.  At the end of the second semester class, students who successfully complete the writing requirement in the course will receive 3 credits for COMM 102.

** In this course, students will also complete the 1 credit requirement of Foundational Ethics (UNIV 112) and 3 credits for Foundational Speaking (COMM 103), both of which will appear on their transcript once the class is completed.
