Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE)
SIFE provides students with unique opportunities to learn about and teach the principles of free enterprise. Students learn to work both individually and as a group to develop and complete projects designed to teach the principles of market economy to a level of understanding and appreciation. Students last year were involved in economic development projects, community service and education initiatives, and creation of a competition for high school students in ethical practice awareness. The program also has a large number of international students, providing an enriched set of perspectives on a variety of business practices. Students are exposed to differences in the use of business theories and applications which gives a better perspective on the challenges of doing business in a global environment.
