The University of Charleston will host a series of five prominent figures in the energy business during the spring semester in a series titled, “Energy: Who’s Got the Power?”
Kevin S. Crutchfield, CEO of Alpha Natural Resources, America’s largest and the world’s third-largest producer of metallurgical coal. Crutchfield was appointed to the board of directors of Alpha in November 2007 and elected chief executive officer on July 31, 2009. He has more than 24 years of experience in the coal industry and holds a particular expertise in the area of risk management. He has been actively involved in developing, managing and overseeing coal mine safety policies and procedures throughout his career.
Event begins at 6:30 p.m. in Geary Auditorium, free and open to the public.
