CRC Workshops
Communication Resource Center
Riggleman Hall Room 218

The Communication Resource Center is excited to offer a series of workshops throughout the Fall 2007 semester. The workshop schedule for September will be as follows:

September 12th from 2:00-4:00 in the CRC
Peer Review Workshop
The purpose of the workshop is to stimulate revision and hone students’ critical insight in audience analysis, writing for purpose, and thesis statements. This workshop is a hands on experience that provides a procedure for peer review and guidance in commenting meaningfully on their peers work. Many will take what they learned from the review and apply it to their own drafts.

September 26th from 2:00-400 in the CRC
Mastering Components of the Writing Process
The CRC can help students at any stage of the writing process — from invention and brainstorming to refining a final draft. This workshop covers those steps and discusses ways students can use CRC resources along the way. The main purpose of this workshop is to provide your students with basic self-editing skills and make them more comfortable with undergraduate-level writing.

*If students are interested in participating in our workshops have them sign-up at the CRC!
