New UC students are encouraged to join us in Charleston for SOAR, your chance to get a closer look at life on campus, make some friends, and get a head start on the orientation and registration process. Take your pick of the four dates below – only choose one, please.
*There is a $35 fee, payable at check-in, for the overnight SOAR sessions. CASH or CHECK only please.
- Spend the night in a UC residence hall, visit downtown Charleston, and start living and learning on campus during an overnight SOAR.
- Can’t spare the time? Come for Saturday only or chose a weekday express option.

Optional Parent Session: UC parents are invited to attend sessions listed in the Parent Schedule below. These sessions are for those that are interested in learning more about University of Charleston services and offerings.
SOAR Overnight Parent Schedule
In order to register for classes, you will have to submit your enrollment deposit. The deposit is $100 if you are planning to live off campus, and $200 if you are planning to live on campus. If you have not yet submitted your deposit, please contact the Office of Admissions at 304-357-4750. Deposits are not refundable after May 1.
