New Admitted Students

Welcome to the University of Charleston (UC)!

We are very excited that you will be joining the UC community this fall and are looking forward to meeting you at New Student Orientation: Mission Possible on Sunday, August 19, 2012. We have planned an orientation program that will assist your transition to being a student at the University of Charleston. Orientation is the beginning of the Learning Your Way experience, which will prepare you for life at the University of Charleston.

Orientation offers you the opportunity to

  • Learn about the curriculum at UC
  • Become familiar with the campus, its facilities, and key resource people
  • Meet other incoming students as well as some returning students
  • Meet your Peer Educator and Mentor
  • Learn about student organizations

Mission Possible will start promptly at 1 pm in the Geary Auditorium, located on the 2nd floor of Riggleman Hall. Dress for orientation is casual.

Please note that Orientation is REQUIRED for all entering students—regardless of whether you attended a SOAR session this summer. Orientation will provide you the tools you need to begin Learning Your Way at the University of Charleston.

We trust you will find your first semester at the University of Charleston to be educational, engaging, and enjoyable. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Office of Student Life at 304-357-4745.
