The University of Charleston School of Pharmacy seeks applicants for an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor of Pharmacology. The faculty position is full-time, non-tenure track (rank and salary commensurate with skills and experience). The School of Pharmacy is designed to prepare pharmacists who will provide comprehensive patient care, advance the profession through research and advocacy, and to serve the community as leaders in rural health care. The School fosters active participation of faculty, staff and students in an agenda of community outreach, advocacy, and activism as one of the hallmarks of the pharmacy program.
A collaborative relationship between the School and Charleston Area Medical Center - Memorial Division, home to one of the largest cardiology programs in the United States, provides a fertile environment and opportunity for research.
The successful candidate will be expected to develop, coordinate, and teach within his or her area of expertise in an entry-level Doctor of Pharmacy curriculum. In addition, the successful candidate will be expected to be active in scholarly activities. Qualified candidates should have Ph.D. degree in Pharmacology, Pathophysiology, or a related science. Preference will be given to those candidates with a pharmacogenomics background. The position will be housed in the Department of Pharmaceutical and Administrative Sciences (DPAS).
