Residence Life Staff

The Residence Life staff is responsible for working with residents to promote a sense of community and to foster the development of meaningful relationships.  A Resident Director (RD) oversees the daily operations and well-being of each hall.  RDs and their staff of student Resident Assistants (RAs) coordinate intentional programs and activities, serve as resource persons, and enforce Student Expectations and Accountability Standards when necessary.

Resident Assistant (RA) 

A Resident Assistant (RA) is assigned to each section on the residence hall. RAs are talented and motivated student leaders who are selected to assist students with various problems and concerns. RAs serve a vital role in the development of community.

Resident Director (RD) 

The RD is a live-in professional staff person who is responsible for the total operation of the residence hall. Each RD promotes educational and social programming, serves as a personal and University resource to the students, and supervises the student staff members and desk assistants. Each RD also has a collateral position that he/she is responsible for which could include; dorm wars, intramurals, residence hall association advisor, coordinator of student life shuttle service, residence life newsletter, and the student life workshop series.

Director of Residence Life  

The Director of Residence Life is the University administrator responsible for the leadership and overall operation of housing and judicial affairs.
