Athletic Training Facilities
In addition to the Health Science Labs, the Athletic Training Education Program has a 550-square-foot instructional and laboratory facility. The classroom/laboratory has internet accessibility and a designated computer station with DVD, CD, and VHS capabilities for projection through a ceiling-mounted projector.
This classroom/laboratory is set up as an athletic training room, with taping stations, evaluation tables, modalities, rehabilitation equipment, storage room, and a computer station with desk and filing cabinet. Supplies are appropriate for an athletic training room (e.g., crutches, electrodes, tape, padding, spine board). The room also houses instructional aids (e.g., anatomical models, charts, technology). The combination allows for a living laboratory environment where didactic knowledge is interwoven with psychomotor skill development.
