Upon graduation, teacher candidates are qualified to teach in a public or private school setting based on their certification and grade-level area. UC graduates have become teachers, administrators, curriculum specialists, and state department of education employees.

UC graduates attend graduate programs across the country to obtain master’s degrees and doctorates.
Two social studies education graduates, Will Shaffer and Drew Wendt have earned the prestigious James Madison Memorial Fellowship. This scholarship provides $24,000 toward a master's degree with a concentration on history and principles of the United States Constitution.
Joseph Kincaid a Music Education graduate attained his National Board of Professional Teaching Standards Certification and was awarded one of the Arch Coal Teacher Achievement Award in the spring of 2010.
