     Capitol High School standout and former West Virginia Freshman of the Year,
     Whitney has announced plans to continue her soccer career at the University of
     Charleston.  Sharp, who was named West Virginia Goalkeeper of the Year the 
     last three seasons and honored with 1st Team All-State selections all four years
     of her high school career.  Additional honors awarded to Whitney during her high
     school career included being named one of the top five goalkeepers in Region 1
     during the 2003 season, as well as member of the West Virginia Olympic
     Development Program (ODP) since 2001. Sharp also has been a member of
     local travel teams, including the West Virginia Storm (2001), the Soccer Vision
     Academy (2002-2004) and the West Virginia University Soccer Club (2005).
