Golden Eagles prevail over D&E
UC traveled to Elkins on Wednesday to play Davis & Elkins for the second time this season. At the end of the day, UC won the WVIAC contest 4-3.
Having a difficult time of late in finishing, four different UC players found the net. Andrea Cooper and Sharon Lapinsky scored in the first half. Maria Taylor scored UC's third goal with under a minute to play in the first half on a breakaway to give UC a 3-2 lead going into half. Bailey Bryant added a goal in the second half off a restart from 40 yards out.
Davis & Elkins pulled within one on a PK late in the half.
UC improved its record to (2-4) and D & E fell to (1-5). The Golden Eagles travel to Findlay, OH to play both Findlay and Tiffin this weekend.
