UC Women Top Wesleyan Behind Lee's 17

The University of Charleston women's basketball team got 17 points from Lisa Lee in an 81-59 victory over West Virginia Wesleyan Monday at Eddie King Gym.

The victory improved UC to 19-1 overall, 11-0 in the West Virginia Conference.

"Lisa is such a phenomenal player," UC Coach Sherry Winn said. "She has helped build our program from the bottom of the West Virginia Conference to one of the top teams in the nation."

Lee is closing in on the 2,000-point mark in her career.

During Monday's contest, UC out-rebounded West Virginia Wesleyan, 48-28, and dished out twice as many assists during the contest, 22-11.
