Lee Leads UC Past Winston-Salem 92-64

Lisa Lee had 20 points and 12 rebounds to lead the University of Charleston to a 92-64 women’s basketball win over Winston-Salem Friday at the West Virginia State Classic in Institute.

Mandy Ebel added 15 points and six boards, while Erica McElroy pitched in with 12 points and five assists.

"I thought we had a great game," UC coach Sherry Winn said after the win. "We turned a corner tonight, so that’s a big step in the right direction."

The highly ranked Golden Eagles have raced out to a 9-0 overall record heading into West Virginia Conference play, which picks up after the new year.
