UC Women Remain at No. 7
January 18, 2006

The University of Charleston women's basketball team remains at No. 7 in the latest USA TODAY/ ESPN Top 25 Coaches' Poll released on January 17.  The Golden Eagles are currently 14-1 on the season and 6-0 in West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.  UC dropped from No. 5 to No. 7 in last week's poll following a 49-54 loss to Indiana (PA).

Conference foe Glenville State (13-0, 4-0) jumped from No. 7 to No. 6 in last week's poll and remained in the No. 6 spot this week, setting up a potential Top 10 matchup between the Golden Eagles and Pioneers on January 26 at Glenville.  UC and Glenville State are the lone unbeaten squads in the WVIAC and currently hold onto the No. 1 and No. 2 conference ratings.

Fairmont State is the third WVIAC squad ranked in the poll holding down the No. 25 spot from last week.
