
UC Women Remain at No. 5

Despite a sparkling 10-0 overall record, the University of Charleston women's basketball team reamains ranked at No. 5 in the country according to the most recently released USA TODAY ESPN Division II Top 25 Coaches' Poll. The Golden Eagles have been ranked as high as No. 4 this season, but have spent the majority of the season at the No. 5 position, the position they were selected in the preseason poll. Washburn University, the defending national champion remains the No. 1 ranked team in the land at 13-0 and collected 22-0f 24 first place votes.
WVIAC foe Glenville State has jumped up to the No. 7 spot in the poll with an 8-0 record. The Pioneers were ranked ninth in the previous poll. UC will travel to Glenville State for a potential top 10 matchup on January 26.
The UC Alumni Office is sponsoring a bus trip to the Glenville State game. The cost is $15 for each person and included a ticket to the game. For more information contact Bethany Meighen at 357-4797.
