
UC Falls to Fifth in Weekly WBCA Poll

Despite remaining unbeaten and winning two games last week, the University of Charleston dropped one spot, to fifth, in the weekly Women's Basketball Coaches Association Division II poll.
The Golden Eagles (8-0), dropped behind Emporia (Kan.) State (10-0). Defending NCAA champion Washburn (Kan.) remains No. 1.
Two other West Virginia Conference teams are in the rankings - Glenville State (8-0) at No. 9, and No. 23 Fairmont State (7-1). Wheeling Jesuit (5-0) missed the Top 25, and with 17 poll points is in a 28th-place tie.
