Rachel Pike scored 14 points to lead unbeaten University of Charleston to its eighth win on Saturday. Courtney Thomas added 12 points and Emily Jones had 11.
For Lincoln (3-8), Madeline Richards scored 14 points. The Railsplitters outrebounded the Golden Eagles 40-31.
“I was not pleased with the performance,” said UC coach Sherry Winn. “Right now, we are not playing well. We need to refocus on playing together. There were a lot of poor shots. Instead of playing as a unit, we are playing one against three or one against four.
“We won the game, but we were outrebounded significantly which is something that shouldn’t happen.”
UC’s Lisa Lee, a leading contender for conference player of the year honors, was held to seven points and five rebounds as she battled personal foul problems.
