Lee Earns WVIAC Player of the Week Award
November 28, 2005

The University of Charleston's Lisa Lee shares this week's WVIAC Player of the Week honor with Glenville State's Rachel Redick.  Lee (6-0, Sr, F) averaged 21.7 ppg, 6.0 rpg, and 3.0 apg in three wins against regional opponents at the Susan G. Komen Classic hosted by Indiana University (Pa.).

The former Capital High School standout and 2005 NCAA East Region MVP scored in double digits in all three contests.  Lee tallied 10 points in the tourney opener against IUP on Nov. 25 and followed with a game-high 27 points in only 26 minutes of play against California (Pa.) on Nov. 26.  Lee shot 64.7-percent from floor on the outing and went 5-for-6 from the free throw line.  The next day she fired in 28 points in only 29 minutes of play against West Chester on a 63.2-percent shooting effort from the floor and was 4-for-5 from the free throw line.

Lee earned the WVIAC Player of the Week award five times last season.  In 2004-05, the Daktronics Honorable Mention All-American finished ranked 20th in the nation in field-goal percentage and 22nd in points per game.
