
Lee Grabs Fourth WVIAC Player of the Week Award

Lisa Lee (6-0, Sr., F, Charleston, WV) claimed her fourth WVIAC Player of the Week honor of the season by averaging 23.5 points and 11.0 rebounds per game in two wins for the nationally ranked Golden Eagles. The former Capital HS standout became only the fifth women's basketball player in league history to go over the 2000-point mark for her career during Saturday's win at West Liberty. Lee had 30 points and 16 rebounds versus regionally ranked West Liberty. On the week, she hit on 20 of 28 field goal attempts as UC improved to 20- 1overall.
Other nominees: Glenville State's Casey Taylor (17.3 ppg, 5.0 rpg in three wins), Fairmont State's Ashley Reed (23.3 ppg, 5.3 apg in 3-0 week), Ohio Valley's Britney Brooks (21 points in win over WV State), Shepherd's Casey Landrum (13.6 ppg, 6.0 rpg in 2-1 week), Wheeling Jesuit's Lindsey Piar (17.3 ppg in three wins), Concord's Shari Walker (18.5 ppg in two wins), and Davis & Elkins' Katie Bright (19.0 ppg in three wins).
