Charleston's Lisa Lee has been named as the Daktronics Division II East Region Women's Basketball Player of the Year. The talented senior adds the award to her trophy case after claiming the WVIAC Player of the Year and tournament MVP accolades.

Glenville State's inside-outside duo of Denae Dobbins and Rachel Redick also earned first team All-East Region honors. High-scoring guard Ashley Reed of Fairmont State grabbed second team honors.

Lee, who averaged 18.9 points and 8.0 rebounds per game, has led Charleston to a 28-2 record and #3 ranking nationally. The former Capital HS standout recently became the WVIAC's all-time leading scorer in women's basketball.

Dobbins and Redick are a big part of Glenville State's 28-2 record and #6 national standing. Dobbins posted 23 double-doubles and led the WVIAC in rebounds and blocked shots. The Glenville, WV native was a four-time WVIAC Player of the Week in 2005-06. Redick ranked among the WVIAC's top five in scoring, steals, and three-point field goals. The Pioneers have compiled an 81-14 record during her three-year tenure as a starter at GSC.

Reed has ranked among the national leaders all season in scoring and three-point shooting.  The Barrackville, WV senior established a new single-game scoring record with 50 points in a December victory over Columbia Union.

Lee, Dobbins, and Redick move on to the Daktronics NCAA Division II All-American ballot. The Daktronics all-region and all-american teams are selected by sports information directors.
