UC Begins Spring Break trip strong

The University of Charleston women’s tennis team began its Spring Break trip in fine fashion by dominating in its first two matches.
The Golden Eagles down East Stroudsburg 8-1 in their match on Sunday at Hilton Head, SC. Head coach Shari Reed’s squad swept the doubles matches and took the top four spots in singles to run their overall record to 13-4.
On Monday, UC improved to 14-4 with a 6-3 decision over Virginia-Wise at Hilton Head. The Golden Eagles claimed to top two doubles matches and the top three singles matches to pace the victory.
UC will continue its Spring Break trip in Hilton Head by taking on Slippery Rock on March 13, Bloomsburg on Mar. 14, Nebraska Wesleyan on March 15 and St. Michael’s College on March 16.
