Lewis Named WVIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week

Andrea Lewis, (University of Charleston, Jr., Sissonville, WV) was named WVIAC Softball Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.

Lewis pitched Charleston to a pair of key conference victories by sweeping Fairmont State. She compiled a 2.00 earned run average with 11 strikeouts in the two victories.

University of Charleston first baseman Michelle Sabelhaus (Sophomore, Pickerington, OH) was a nominee for WVIAC Player of the Week. Sabelhaus went 5-for-8 in games against Fairmont State.

The Golden Eagles are currently 17-14 under first-year head coach Annette Olenchick. UC plays at West Virginia Wesleyan today [Tuesday, April 11].
