UC Falls to Lees-McRae
Charleston falls to Lees-McRae at home

The University of Charleston jumped out to an early 2-0 lead the first ten minutes of the game, but it was not enough as Lees-McRae posted a 9-2 victory over UC at Triana Field on Sunday.

UC's Adam Wolf scored with a header off of a 50 yd. free kick assisted by James Williams. Moments later, Adam Prestifilippo scored a direct free kick. Somehow UC lost its momentum & then let its guard down by allowing LM to score a total unanswered goals in the first half. UC was unable to retaliate.

Lees-McRae launched an incredible assault on the Golden Eagles and were able to find the back of the net four more times in the second half. The final score was 9-2 for LM.

LM outshot UC 34-3.

Brent Wilson recorded 15 saves for the Golden Eagles.

UC men's soccer will travel on the road to face another fierce national powerhouse at Carson Newman, TN on Friday Sept. 7, 2007.
